Paper cuttings

After looking at the work of Damyeong Yoo Hartlaub , I decided to attempt to create tribal paper cuttings . I did this by folding paper and cutting patterns into the paper , I used the BWA plank masks as a point of reference for my designs . I found when holding them over light a beautiful pattern was projected onto the wall . This is a technique I want to recreate through posture and hair in my final image . I need to do a lot more research into the lighting and the patterns that work best .
